As Michael Jackson once sung

"You are not alone"

Just a gentle reminder to myself about the word this morning! :)

I’ve lost my foot…

Ola.

Portugal… where to start?

Well, firstly what a fantastic holiday. The weather was brilliant (except for one cloudy morning and one rainy afternoon – and also when we left but you want to leave when’s it turns sour don’t you?)

The forecasts had said 19c with overcast skies for the weekend… they were wrong. It must’ve been almost 25c each day and clear skies. Thank you to the maker of the sun and sky for that.

Anyway, enough about the weather because I know it’s been great back here too.

The food was excellent. I only had one disappointing meal and I put that down to the fact that it wasn’t chicken (I love chicken). Nig managed to wrangle a free wine off of someone in Albuferia who was trying to persuade us to eat at their restaurant. We ate curry by the sea with the best onion baji’s I think I’ll ever have and if you ever go to Armecao De Pera you have got to check out Pedro’s…

… each and everyday.

Cos it rocks.

It was packed full of funny moments too most of which will make no sense whatsoever (have you ever been on holiday with both Loz and Sara?! (NOT Shara))

So below are some random quotes and facts about the holiday of which there are many more than I can explain.

Tom: “Ola Master Splinter.”

Loz: “I’ve lost my foot.”

Loz: “Blind people ‘feel’ their way across the road but what do deaf people do?”
Tom: “Erm. They can see?”

Loz, Tom and Sara: “Zebra!!”

Pilot: “Hi. We are currently over the... errrrmmm… English Channel. Errrrmmmm… we should be arriving in Bristol in just under an hour. The weather is... errrrmmmm… pleasant but cloudy.

Dirty English People in Worst Bar Ever: “Ruby Ruby Ruby”

Loz and Maz’s also had some interesting books… some may even call them ‘dirty’. Maz even brought an interesting pack of cards. You should all ask her about them.

Luke thought it would be a good idea to have a shower before going on to the beach.

And Nigel shook a random guys hand after they’d just swam to the horizon and back.

Esther loved the animal impressions we were doing in the bar… ok, the animal impressions I was doing in the bar… loudly.

Man Utd won 7-1, we did some karaoke and there were some really random Norwegian tourists who joined in with us.

I had what is known as the ‘Barcardi slump’. (No. I didn’t get drunk!)

And what holiday would be complete without Stop The Bus, Trumps, Rummy, Solitaire and Poker?
